Myco-Nematocure (Bio-Nematicide): Paecilomyces lilacinus

Myco-Nematocure (Bio-Nematicide): Paecilomyces lilacinus

Myco-Nematocure is produced by using Paecilomyces lilacinus, which is a ubiquitous saprobic filamentous fungus.

Mode of Action: The fungus is parasitic to all stages of plant infecting nematodes and its eggs. The spores of fungus adhere to the cuticle of the vermiform stage of nematode and germinate.  The fungus also penetrates the cuticle and enters the nematode through body openings. The fluids of the nematodes are then drained by the fungus and eventually perished.

Benefits: Controls wilt, root-rot disease, attacks sedentary stages of nematodes, protects the root system against diseases caused by plant parasitic nematodes, destroys eggs, egg-masses or cysts, effective against root-knot nematodes, golden cyst nematode, cyst nematode, citrus nematode, burrowing nematode and reniform nematode, promotes plant growth, decomposes raw organic substances, solubilises phosphorous.

Crops: Banana, Vegetables, Fruit crops, Cereals, Pulses, Sugarcane, Turmeric, Paddy, Coconut, Tapioca, Potato, Carrot, Beetroot, Cotton, Groundnut, Cole crops, nurseries, lawns and landscape, Orchards, Cut flowers and Ornamentals in greenhouses etc.

Method of Application:

Seed Treatment: Mix 20ml of Myco-Nematocure with 1 kg of seeds and sow the treated seeds after 30 minutes.

Root Dipping: Mix 20 ml of Myco-Nematocure with 1 litre of water and dip the roots of seedlings for about 20 minutes before planting.

Field application: For an acre, 1000ml of Myco-Nematocure can be mixed with sufficient quantity of water and this solution is sprinkled over 50 – 100 kg of farmyard manure and broadcast it in the field. Suspend 1000ml of Myco-Nematocure in required volume of water and irrigate through drip system.
